Statement
In my work I explore different manifestations of the ideological and technological systems that shape human lives, both visibly and indiscreetly. I reflect on how people’s lives are affected by various systems that we are all bound by to some extent, while at the same time we strive to influence them and exploit them for our own purposes. Many of my works revolve around the boundaries between control, freedom, and chance.
I work across installations, painting, weaving, and drawing, emphasizing the dialogue between craft, color, materials and conceptual depth. Whatever technique I choose, I strive to create works that simultaneously evoke sensory experiences and create space for contemplation.
