The title Primum Mobile refers to a medieval world view, when earth was considered to be in the middle of the universe and orbiting around her were various spheres of chemical elements, planets, sun and moon. The outer most sphere was called Primum Mobile or primary motor hemisphere which was a kind of divine force that powered the movements of all the other spheres. The work is inspired by this ancient world view, based on the geocentric model, but within it is also a reference to another old world view, the heliocentric model, both which are incorrect, according to modern science. The balls in the inner most core of the circle, which will spread, with the help of guests, could remind us of the dominant idea about the Big Bang, how the world began in one dot and has been expanding ever since. The work also makes us think of the technological and ideological systems that control imperceptibly both humans and the whole world. The work poses questions on how world views and ruling ideological systems are formed, who governs and what authority and influence does the individual really have within those systems

Titillinn Primum Mobile vísar í hugtak úr heimsmynd miðalda ‏þegar talið var að jörðin væri í miðju alheimsins, en í kringum hana snerust mismunandi hvel frumefna, pláneta, sólar og tungls eftir hringlaga baugum. Ysti baugurinn var kallaður Primum Mobile eða frumhreyfihvel sem var einskonar guðlegt afl sem knúði hreyfingu allra hinna hvelanna. Innblástur verksins er þ‏‏essi forna heimsmynd, sem byggir á jarðmiðjukenningu, en í ‏verkinu blandast jafnframt tilvísun í aðra eldri heimsmynd, sólmiðjukenninguna, en þær eiga það sameiginlegt að vera báðar rangar samkvæmt nútíma vísindum. Kúlurnar í innsta kjarna hringsins sem dreifast við aðstoð gesta gætu minnt á hina ríkjandi hugmynd um Miklahvell, hvernig upphaf heimsins byrjaði í einum punkti og ‏hefur verið í stöðugri útþ‏enslu síðan. En verkið leiðir einnig hugann að ‏þeim tæknilegu og hugmyndafræðilegu kerfum sem st‎ýra, leynt og ljóst, mannfólkinu og heiminum í heild. Verkið veltir upp spurningum um hvernig heimsmyndir og ríkjandi hugmyndakerfi verða til, hver sé við stjórnvölinn og hver áhrif og forráð einstaklingsins innan ‏þeirra kerfa raunverulega séu.
